Dr. Walter Toller, DNP, PMHNP-BC, stands as a highly proficient Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, boasting extensive training and expertise in the treatment of psychiatric disorders across all ages and in various clinical environments, spanning from hospitals to outpatient clinics. His academic journey was marked by excellence, earning accolades from Walden University’s esteemed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners Program, where he maintained a remarkable 3.9 GPA and was recognized as a member of the Honors Society. Further enhancing his qualifications, Dr. Toller obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP) from Chatham University in 2022.

Presently, Dr. Toller is deeply immersed in a significant DNP project aimed at addressing the Opioid Crisis from a spiritual perspective. His approach to care transcends traditional medical paradigms, embracing a humanistic philosophy that harmonizes spiritual and physical well-being. Grounded in 28 years of nursing experience, including a notable tenure in the United States Army spanning nine years, Dr. Toller remains unwavering in his commitment to delivering personalized and comprehensive patient care.

An esteemed member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Dr. Toller exemplifies a steadfast dedication to professional excellence and advancement within the psychiatric nursing field. His upbringing in a disadvantaged neighborhood of Baltimore city has instilled in him a profound desire to give back to his community. Drawing from personal experiences, he channels his energy into assisting individuals in navigating mental health challenges and overcoming substance abuse issues.
